We go further beyond transfer learning using existing AI models.
We design, train, and fine-tune a deep-learning neural network specific to the car domain.
The AI can distinguish over 1700 different cars, from classic cars in the 1960s to newly-released cars in 2025, in different environments such as snapshots that only part of the car is taken.
Besides the car model, the AI can also recognize license plates and colors. Specific to Hong Kong, the AI can also estimate the current market value.

Instead of just using the commonly used car datasets that can be found online, we develop a pipeline that builds the database continuously.
Our database has over 300,000 images, and the number is growing every day.
Privacy
To try MudCar, you do not need to register an account. Just open the app/web, take a photo or choose from your photo library.
The photo you uploaded will be processed by the AI on our server. We will use the images to help re-train and improve the AI model. The images will not be used for other purposes.
Only images you are going to take/upload will be stored. No other information will be collected from you.
In other words, we do not know who you are from the images you have taken/uploaded, and we do not know where it was taken, what camera/phone was used, and who took the photo.
